Known nationwide as the “Pom Pom Mom,” Wanda Holloway’s shocking plot turned a local Texas story into a national media spectacle in the early 1990s. What began as intense cheerleading rivalry in Channelview, Texas spiraled into a bizarre murder-for-hire scheme involving wiretaps, undercover recordings, and one of the strangest parental scandals in American true-crime history.

We are headed way down under to Australia today. Tasmania, to be exact. According to all my Google images, this island off the southern end of Australia is stunning, with beaches, bays, and quorkas. We are not a travel podcast, so we are not covering all of Tasmania’s tourist destinations, but we will talk about a horrific day at one of them. Port Arthur, where on April 28th, 1996, a man committed the worst mass murder in Australian history. We will also tell you why that doesn’t happen anymore. Hint: It’s gun laws. We don’t have those in America. 
 
It is not all dark and dreary on MMOTW. We get into some real blah reviews of some Oscar Glam. YAWN and awful. Don’t worry, we were in our sweats while judging. 
Stacey will explain what mummification means, and then we have some banging beauty tips. All by women-owned beauty brands for Women’s History Month! Don’t forget to keep making history! Now, more than ever.

It’s well into the school year but Stacey and Kelly are feeling very academic. New clothes, new pens. Sometimes green pens that get left behind at a crime scene. In this episode, we try to unpack how schools - specifically colleges and universities - have become fraught with tragedy. Like how none of us can unsee or unfeel the 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students who have heartbreakingly become the Idaho Four. Then we tell the story of Annie Le - a graduate student at Yale University whose murder should never be forgotten. Annie disappeared four days before she was supposed to marry her college sweetheart. Instead of walking down the aisle, she was brutally murdered by yet another violent man with an inferiority complex. It’s a theme, beauties, and we’re not happy about it. To make up for it, we’re giving you a beauty segment that, in the words of Queen Rihanna, is like diamonds in the sky. Or on our faces. And our nails. Shine bright like a diamond, beauties. This is a rough one.
